Founder's story: From Code to Consciousness: The Story Behind Peak Mode On

If someone had told me ten years ago that I’d leave the world of venture-backed tech startups to build an Ayurveda-based wellness brand, I’d have probably laughed.

Back then, I was deep into tech. From my early days at Cisco and Bank of New York Mellon, to jumping head-first into the startup ecosystem in London, I was obsessed with one thing: building products that solved real problems.

In 2016, I co-founded Pouch, a fintech startup that helped users save money while shopping online. We scaled fast, were acquired by Atolls, and eventually became part of hotukdeals, one of the largest deal communities in the UK. As the Co-founder and CTO, I built and led globally distributed tech teams, operated across time zones, and learned what it truly meant to build a company from the ground up.

But something deeper was calling.

Coming Home: To India, and to My Roots

In 2021, I moved back to Bangalore to set up Atolls’ India operations. The timing was perfect. India’s startup scene had matured — incredible talent, a robust supply chain ecosystem, and a surge in AI innovation made it clear: it was time to build here, and for the world.

But more than the ecosystem, it was a personal transformation that lit the fire in me.

I had always been fascinated by Indic sciences, but it wasn’t until I met some exceptional Vaidyas — traditional Ayurvedic doctors — that I experienced the true depth of Ayurveda. I saw people heal from chronic conditions that even allopathy had given up on. I began experimenting with Ayurvedic treatments, shifting to a Sāttvik lifestyle, and slowly transformed my health — and my family’s — from the inside out.

That’s when it clicked:
This is what I want to do with the next chapter of my life.

The Problem: Ayurveda Felt Out of Reach

Despite the power of Ayurveda, I noticed something that bothered me — most of it was locked behind poetic verses, ancient language, and a mystical tone that didn’t resonate with modern minds.

Every time I asked a Vaidya for an explanation, they gave a solution — but only explained it simply if I insisted. It wasn’t that Ayurveda lacked clarity. It was that its explanations required cross-referencing verses, contextual understanding, and a new way of thinking — unlike any other knowledge system I’d encountered.

The result?
Ayurveda felt inaccessible to people who were otherwise highly rational, scientific, and curious.

The Spark: Building Ayurveda for the Modern Performer

Over a long evening of ideation, a friend said something that stuck:
“So you want to switch on my Peak Mode! Right?”

It was perfect.
Not mystical. Not preachy. Just powerful.

That’s how Peak Mode On was born — a brand that:

  • Respects the purity of Ayurvedic knowledge
  • Speaks the language of modern high-performers
  • Delivers products backed by shlokas, texts, and proven wisdom
  • Uses technology to personalize, educate, and scale globally

I didn’t want to dilute Ayurveda into feel-good wellness fluff.
I didn’t want to bury it in incomprehensible mysticism either.
I wanted to bridge both worlds — making ancient wisdom practical for high performers.

The Vision: Authentic. Aspirational. Scalable.

There are many Ayurvedic brands. Some deeply traditional. Others beautifully modern. Rarely both.

At Peak Mode On, we’re building that rare combination:

  • Classical Formulations — no shortcuts, no guesswork
  • Global Brand Aesthetic — minimal, premium, intentional
  • Performance Outcomes — energy, sleep, recovery, clarity, cognition
  • Technology as a Force Multiplier — apps, bots, dashboards, AI-powered routines

Like every startup, we’re starting small — solving day-to-day problems for people in India.
Better gut health. Deeper sleep. Clearer minds.

But our eyes are set on the world.
Because now is the time to take Ayurveda global — without compromising its soul.
